Ingots and wafers are core materials of LED and it is attracting the world's attention as energy of technology.

In 2006, we succeeded in domestically producing sapphire wafers for the first time in Korea and supplying them to global LED companies. In 2014, we successfully differentiated our cost and quality competitiveness by incorporating ingot lines with our differentiated technology.

The Sapphire Division, our upstream business division, is expected to grow in the market. LED market is expanding rapidly into mobile phones, TVs, lighting devices, automobiles, home appliances, construction and environmental industries. Furthermore, coverage is also expanding into the wearable market, including smart watches. In addition, with the advent of the flexible display market and the potential for growth of micro LEDs, which can replace OLEDs, the market penetration of sapphire wafers is expected to increase significantly.
