The fingerprint sensor module is a biometric product that obtains image information of fingerprints indicating a unique characteristic of each person. The obtained fingerprint image will be judged by comparing with the fingerprint information of the user which is pre-registered in the database. Iljin Display has two solutions, capacitive and optical methods, can develop and produce mass-products according to customers’ needs.
- Capacitive Fingerprint Sensor Module
- The capacitive fingerprint sensor module obtains fingerprint images by recognizing the difference
in capacitance according to the peaks and valleys of the fingerprint. The sensor recognizes the
difference in electrical signals due to the height difference between peaks and valleys
of the fingerprint.
- Widely applicable to areas where security is required
- It can be applied to front, rear and side parts of smart phones such as power button, and the surface of the product can be implemented with coating, glass, sapphire, ceramic covers and can operate in any form in a stable manner. When we fuse into our force touch fingerprint module, we can provide a solution that can replace the physical button. The built-in fingerprint function on the smart card identifies the card owner’s fingerprint and can be applied extensively to areas requiring authentication and security, such as security, finance, and identification.

- Optical Fingerprint Sensor Module
- The sensor module that is located underneath the display and recognizes fingerprints by optical method.
